A respected salon professional and fashion leader with over 25 years’ experience, André is a haircolor master. He is known for his uncanny ability to correct the most challenging hair color tasks, and create fashion trends for his cutting edge clients. The highest level of style, sensibility and sophistication has made him a celebrity in his own right.
His work has been featured in publications which include German, French, Spanish, Italian, British and American Vogue, Allure, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Clarie V and W magazines. His Supermodel clients have included Naomi Campbell, Jamie Bochert, Kate Upton, Amber Valletta, Shalom Harlow, Kristen McMenamy, Carolyn Murphy, Erin O'Connor, Karen Elson, Maggie Rizer, Frankie Rayder, Sophie Dahl and Kylie Bax, among others, as well as fashion icons Daphne Guinness and Brooke de Ocampo.
André has worked with many of the industry’s leading photographers such as Irving Penn, Steven Meisel, Mario Testino, Mert & Marcus, Craig McDean, Richard Avedon, Bruce Weber and Steven Klein. He has created haircolor for advertising images such as Versace, Valentino, Dolce and Gabbana, Prada, Nars, Saint Laurent, Escada, Fendi, Channel, Jil Sander, Bottega Veneta and The Gap, among others.
Also creating specific looks for designer runway shows which include Anna Sui and Marc Jacobs and Versace.
He has be called upon by some of Hollywood’s and the music industry's most dynamic leading ladies: Diana Ross, Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow, Anne Hathaway, Kirsten Dunst, Tilda Swinton, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Tracee Ellis Ross, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Mary Kate Olsen, Michelle Williams, Lisa Marie Presley, Morgan Fairchild, and Mariska Hargitay to name a few.
His work has been featured in films such as, “The Devil wears Prada”; “Burn After Reading”; “Michael Clayton”; “Igby Goes Down” and “What Lies Beneath” and the television shows “Law and Order” "Blackish" & HBO’s The Deuce.
Trained in 1993 with the famed Garren, André spent eight years working as one of his leading colorists in the 1990's. Returning in 2009 for five years until the closing in 2015. André is currently joined the hair genius Serge Normant at John Frieda.
